The design brief required the creation of a task lamp that incorporated an element of surprise. A light touch activates the counterweight, swinging the lamp open and lighting up at full extension. Using New Zealand Macrocarpa, concrete and steel my two team members and I milled, cast and machined the materials to produce Poise.
